Smith & Fong introduces Neopolitan™ flooring, plywood

May 6, 2008 - San Francisco – Smith & Fong Co., manufacturer of Plyboo® bamboo products, has introduced an exciting new line of bamboo flooring and architectural bamboo plywood.

Called Neopolitan™, the offers a wild color pattern with exceptional durability and very low VOC emissions. The products will be available urea formaldehyde-free by this spring.

Neopolitan flooring is available prefinished or unfinished in dimensions of 3/8"x3-3/4"x36" or 9/16 x 3 3/4" x 72". Neopolitan plywood is offered unfinished and sanded to 180 grit. The plywood can be treated to meet a Class A fire rating and is produced in dimensions of 3/4"x30"x72 (3-ply), 1/2"x30"x72" (3-ply) and 4mm x30"x72" (single-ply).

Neopolitan products contribute points toward the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)'s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Credit MR 6: Rapidly Renewable Materials and, by spring 2008, Credit EQ 4.4: No Added Urea Formaldehyde.
